Applied improvisation is the application of improvisational theatrical methods in various non-theatrical fields, including consulting, training, and teaching. It is known to be used as an experiential educational approach, one which enables participants to explore and improve their leadership, management,, and interpersonal capabilities. In a supportive atmosphere of positive purpose, everyone is encouraged to contribute. Participants will learn the basics of improv through theater games and exercises which will provide a variety of benefits;
- build trust
- foster teamwork and better brainstorming
- improve communication and presentation skills
- promote creative problem solving
- respond quickly and decisively to unanticipated challenges
- think on their feet and recognize opportunities as they arise
- increase their comfort level with change and willingness to take risks
Improv is also spontaneous, entertaining,, and fun. But like all great things, you’ll have to see it firsthand to fully experience and appreciate it.
