From a letter to Jon from Jason:
The thing I like most about these pieces is the energy… the words / images attack from all sides… it’s like crossing a busy street during rush hour. With most other poems, the cars are parked, and a few of them have tickets on their windshields for overstaying their welcome… but your poems are different… they feel dangerous… almost like you could get hurt reading a poem like this if you’re not paying attention… which means the reader reaches the end safely they’re happy to be alive… that’s how I feel when I read these poems… alive.
Jon Torell will also exhibit a selection of his paintings, adding another dimension to the experience and creating an inspiring space in which to discover his work.
