Overview of the evening:
Professor Whatley’s decades-long conviction is that poetry is one of the most important avenues for exploring life and faith. The Easter story – the heart and central mystery of the Christian faith – has inspired some of the greatest poetry ever penned. This two-part evening presents first the poetry of the cross and leads naturally into the poetry of the resurrection. Both classic and more contemporary poems are part of the evening’s offering.
