HUB TALKS SUNDAY MARCH 24TH 2024 @ 2 PM

AT HUDSON CREATIVE HUB

Presenter:  Rod Hodgson

We are pleased to announce that our Hub Talks presenter for March will be Rod Hodgson.  Rod is well-known in Hudson and has lengthy ties to the community.   There were originally four distinct Hodgson families who arrived here from England between 1819 and 1825.  Rod’s family ties are linked to the Hodgson Brothers Sawmill on Main Road,  the town’s water systems, and the Hudson Police and Fire Departments.  He was raised in Hudson and received his education from Hudson High School, Macdonald College, and John Abbott College, and received his BA in Urban Geography and History from the University of Guelph.

Rod worked for the Town of Hudson in the Public Works Department for over 35 years and for several years with the Hudson Yacht Club.  He has served with the Town Planning Committee and is past President of the Hudson Historical Society and the Hudson Legion.

He has written 15 books on local history and therefore has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the town.
